Silvia De Toffoli is pursuing an academic path both in mathematics and philosophy. She holds a Ph.D. form the Technical University of Berlin and she is finishing a second Ph.D., this time in philosophy, at Stanford University. Her research focuses primarily on interdisciplinary issues concerning the role of diagrams and visualizations in mathematical thinking.
