PRESS RELEASE

The 2nd Italian Game Festival that took place in the beautiful city of Gradara (PS) on the 4-6 of October 1991,  during the Gradara Ludens Events, has been a great success.

Gradara, a very peculiar medieval city, was the ideal setting to host this event
that had about 5.000 visitors.
Unforgettable the sight of 500 children cheering for the kids of the final of the Memory challenge; and all the playrooms and the stands of the different  companies, always crowded with people of any age. All the playing tables were busy, all the rooms packed with people, some groups were even playing in the streets or on any free lawn.
There were many different Tournaments such as Othello, Abalone, Draughts.
Also RPG had a great success through several challenges, presentations of books and the life perfoming RPG, with actors in medieval costumes, fire-eaters and people dressed up with swards, helmets and armors.
Many spaces were dedicated to ludic-culture meetings with important figures of the game world such as Alex Randolph, the prize giving of the 1st Prize to the Game of the Year, assigned to Hero Quest by a Jury whose President was Giampaolo Dossena.
Marco Danè, with his Paroliamo and the prize giving of all the Tournaments in a very crowded theater ended this Festival that is promising to become a very important Event for games in Italy.

The 2nd Italian Game Festival  was organized by SD2 studiogiochi (Venezia) in collaboration with Agonistika and Urbino Symposium.
